Dublin Marathon Post-Race

Brutality is the word. Cold, clear and windy. Sweat froze on my body. Not enough layers. Hypothermic at the half way point. Too much alcohol and not enough water in the days leading up to the race. But hey, I was in Ireland. I walked for about 10 miles. Lesson learned. Next race; Rock n Roll Marathon, San Diego, June 1, 2008. Already running.

How fun Ireland. I need to go there I'm half Irish.
I hung out with a bunch of Irish dudes in the Sahara desert during Marathon Des Sables in Morrocco.
Those guys sure do like to drink. They would party almost every night during the 165 mile run through the desert. Not sure how they all finished having hangovers most mornings.
Dude I know how you feel getting dumped.
I got dumped my my husband in 2004 after I did the most amazing fastpack of my life. I got the woman's speed record on the John Muir trail(212 miles) and the Yo Yo record (424 miles).
I was so depressed but I dusted myself off and went on living my life.
Life is a journey not a destination.
